Álvaro Lenier Mesa performs as a vocalist, MC, and composer across Latin pop, reggaeton, tropical styles, and ballads. He came into the world in Cuba during 1989 and relocated alongside his dad to Miami in his adolescent years. For the initial ten years of his music profession, Cuban folk tunes formed the core of his performances, before he determined that pivoting toward the emerging urbano sound could unlock greater prospects. Melisma, his debut solo record from 2019, caught Pitbull’s eye, leading the artist to immediately ink him to Mr. 305 Inc. Lenier’s major breakthrough arrived the following year via the single “Como Te Pago,” an emotional tribute dedicated to mothers which accumulated vast streaming numbers. Thereafter his trajectory expanded significantly, encompassing independent releases alongside penning tracks for prominent figures like Marc Anthony—including the Latin Grammy-winning “Mala.” Amid a steady output of individual tracks and joint efforts involving artists such as Yandel, Jowell & Randy, 6ix9ine, Ne-Yo, Pitbull, plus additional collaborators, he succeeded in putting out The Hit Kings in 2022 and Blanco y Negro during 2024.
