Lizzen works as a singer and songwriter whose candid, soul-infused brand of modern R&B traces roots to artists such as Keyshia Cole and K. Michelle while remaining distinctly her own. Born in Ohio, she launched her recording career in 2023 via the ballad “Official,” then followed in 2024 with the eight-track EP On the Bus, which includes featured appearances by Keith Sweat, Robin Thicke, and Jacquees.

Raised in Akron, she started composing songs and creating dance routines during childhood after becoming captivated by the series Making the Band. As the years passed, refining her skills in songwriting and performance grew central to her life as both creative release and emotional support. Issued in September 2023, “Official” marked her debut release on Run It Up Records. Three further singles appeared before year’s end—“Care for You,” “Why,” and the Trina-assisted “Audacity.” Early the following year she unveiled “Great Gatsby Freestyle” and “Right & Wrong,” then recruited Robin Thicke for a remix of “Why” that quickly spread online. Jacquees joined a subsequent version of “Audacity,” after which a take on “Right & Wrong” arrived featuring Keith Sweat, an early influence on Thicke. Those remixes, alongside several new recordings, formed the June 2024 collection On the Bus. “Why 2.0” and a fresh remix of “Official” appeared soon after.
