Biography
The stage name Long Beard belongs to New Brunswick, New Jersey singer and songwriter Leslie Bear, whose intimate electric-guitar dream pop carries a distinctly curious air. She first took the name for local shows in 2009, while enrolled at Rutgers University and relying on a looping pedal, and went on to issue her own low-key home-recorded EP Holy Crow at the beginning of 2014. Later that summer came the split EP Ghost Graduation, shared with Fraternal Twin from New Paltz, New York. For her first full-length release, Sleepwalker, she enlisted Chris Daly as producer and engineer on sessions that took place partly in bedrooms and partly at Salvation Recording Co. in New Paltz; the hazy, introspective album appeared in October 2015 on Team Love Records.
