Biography
Emerging in 2000 from Seattle, Washington, the avant-easy listening group Lushy featured a lineup consisting of Andrew Sodt handling keyboards along with sax, flute, and timbales; Annabella Kirby serving as vocalist while also playing percussion and clarinet; M.G. Nims on bass and drums; Bradley Chodos-Irvine managing bongos, congas, and additional percussion; and Jeff McGrath contributing trumpet, keyboards, and slide guitar. The ensemble first presented its distinctive style to the Cocktail Nation through performances at tiki gatherings and similar occasions before releasing their debut self-titled album during the summer of 2003.
