Biography
Hailing from Münster, Germany, the heavy rock band Mad Max delivered four largely undistinguished albums across the 1980s, all marked by formulaic songwriting: their self-titled debut in 1982, followed by Rollin' Thunder in 1984, Stormchild in 1985, and Night of Passion in 1987. Roadrunner Records issued the final three of those records, tolerating nearly four years of relentless member changes before parting ways with the 1988 lineup of vocalist/guitarist Michael Voss, guitarist Jurgen Breforth, bassist Roland Bergmann, and drummer Axel Kruse. The musicians disbanded at once yet reconvened in 2000 to release the comeback album Never Say Never and again in 2006 to issue Night of White Rock.
