Maleek Berry

Maleek Berry crafts tracks defined by sharp percussion and strong melodies, whether intended for his own use or for other performers, resulting in music geared toward both dancing and intimate moments. The British-born Nigerian musician has worked steadily since the start of the 2010s and joined Wizkid's Starboy Entertainment as an in-house producer in 2013. After handling productions for Wande Coal, Iyanya, Runtown, and Wizkid plus multiple solo singles, he issued his debut EP, Last Daze of Summer, on his own Berry's Room label in 2016. The following year brought the single "4 Me" and the Mafi B collaboration "See My Baby." Although Berry's catalog stays rooted in Afro-pop, certain releases have shifted toward booming, minimally layered trap textures.
