Biography
Marc Copely, a guitarist raised amid the tough streets of Worcester, Massachusetts’s Main South area, built recognition within Boston’s local music circles. He enrolled at Berklee but could only stay for one year until funds depleted. Persistent performances followed until a severe automobile accident inflicted him with major cranial injury, dual breaks in his left arm, a fractured left wrist, shoulder dislocation, rib contusions, and significant spinal damage. This incident prompted a reevaluation, and through his efforts to regain guitar proficiency, he acquired renewed purpose that propelled his professional path forward. Touring alongside Mary Lou Lord came next, along with producing an album alongside James Montgomery, the Boston blues musician. He then commenced crafting his first solo record, Limited Lifetime Guarantee, which included bass contributions from Dave Hull of Pete Droge’s group and drumming by Josh Freese. RCA issued the project in June 2002.
