Biography
The experimental Italian outfit Mau Mau launched its official career in 1992 under the direction of singer and guitarist Luca Morino, accordionist Fabio Barovero, and djembe player Tate Nsongan. EMI issued the album Sauta Rabel that November. Blending acoustic textures with trance and ambient techno, the band tracked its sophomore release Bass Paradis two years later. Following appearances at festivals worldwide, Mau Mau delivered Viva Mamanera in 1996.
