Biography
Formed in Milan during 1999, the Italian rock group Le Vibrazioni came together through the efforts of vocalist Francesco Sarcina along with guitarist and keyboardist Stefano Verderi, bassist Marco Castellani, and drummer Alessandro Deidda. Released in 2003, their debut single “Dedicato a Te” earned platinum status and cleared the path for the self-titled first album Le Vibrazioni. Throughout 2004 the quartet remained constantly on tour, with their high-energy stage shows and offstage exchanges later compiled into the concert DVD Live all’Alcatraz. In March 2005 the band placed second among groups at the San Remo Festival after unveiling the new track “Ovunque Andrï,” then issued their sophomore album Le Vibrazioni II, which quickly achieved gold certification. The third full-length effort, Officine Meccaniche, surfaced the following year in 2006. Le Vibrazioni’s music draws deeply from 1970s hard rock and progressive rock, with Led Zeppelin and Pink Floyd serving as primary touchstones alongside the Italian rock figures Vasco Rossi and Ligabue.
