Biography
Italian singer Irene Grandi entered the world in Florence on December 6, 1969. During her early adulthood she performed with groups that worked the regional club circuit, yet she waited until 1992 to launch a solo career, at which point she began collaborating with songwriter Telonio on fresh songs. The track “Un Motivo Maledetto” drew the attention of CGD, which promptly offered her a contract; the resulting self-titled album appeared in 1994 after the customary appearance at the San Remo Festival. Her second effort, In Vacanza Da una Vita, arrived the following year, with Per Fortuna Purtroppo following in 1997. Verde Rosso e Blu reached stores two years afterward, though four additional years passed before the next studio set, Prima di Partire, emerged; during that interval the retrospective collection Irek was released. Indelebile surfaced in 2005, succeeded in 2007 by the second compilation, Irene Grandi.Hits.
