Mc Fitti

A Berlin rapper recognized for his recurring references to 1980s old-school sounds, MC Fitti is distinguished by his signature beard, baseball cap, and sunglasses. Born Dirk Witek in Gifhorn, he relocated to Berlin ahead of his 2012 breakthrough single “30 Degrees” with the goal of entering the film industry. While constructing sets for film and television productions and experimenting with acting, he eventually connected with MCs Vokalmatador and Rhymin’ Simon, joining their tours and handling behind-the-scenes duties. Prompted to shape his own approach, he issued singles starting in 2011 and attained widespread attention with the Miami Vice-referencing track “30 Degrees.” His debut LP, #Geilon, arrived in 2013 and reached number two on the German charts, with the attendant exposure also opening doors to assorted acting roles.
