KC Rebell

German rapper KC Rebell, linked to the Banger Musik imprint, entered the world as Hüseyin Köksecen in Essen in 1988. Early recognition arrived through his work in the duo SAW (Schwarz auf Weiß), formed alongside German-Iranian rapper PA Sports; the pair issued the 2006 mixtape Schwarz auf Weiß and the 2008 studio album Kinder des Zorns.

After inking with Life Is Pain, KC Rebell unveiled his debut solo effort Derdo Derdo, then returned in 2012 with Rebellismuss. Although that release climbed to number 33 on the German charts, his profile surged with the 2013 album Banger Rebellieren, which reached number two in Germany, number five in Austria, and number six in Switzerland. The fourth LP, Rebellution, became his first chart-topper, aided by guest appearances from Farid Bang and Kollegah. Fata Morgana, arriving in 2015, topped the rankings in Germany along with Austria and Switzerland, while the single “Augenblick” featuring Summer Cem entered the Top 20. His sixth studio set, Abstand, followed in 2016 and marked his third consecutive German number-one album.
