Biography
LaTasha Rogers, known professionally as MC Trouble and recognized as Motown's inaugural female rapper, appeared poised for substantial success before an epileptic seizure ended her life in 1991. Chart success arrived quickly after she joined the label, as "(I Wanna) Make You Mine" registered as a hit during 1990. Her sole album, Gotta Get a Grip, incorporated contributions from Full Force alongside additional collaborators. The loss reverberated through the expanding hip-hop community, prompting acknowledgments from A Tribe Called Quest's Q-Tip and from Nefertiti, who dedicated her track "Trouble in Paradise" to the artist.
