Biography
Emerging from Chicago in 1988, the duo of Cee Cee Tee (Chris Cuben-Tatum) and Falasz (John Michael Falasz) created Me Phi Me as an early positive, message-oriented alternative to both hardcore and pop-rap. RCA signed the group near the start of the 1990s, after which they issued several singles, among them the unexpected chart appearance of “Sad New Day.” Their sole full-length release, the album One, unfortunately proved to be their only long-player.
