Biography
The indie pop duo Mean Lady, based in Delaware, revolves around singer Katie Dill and multi-instrumentalist Sam Nobles. Newark became the site of the group’s formation in 2010, yielding a varied fusion of tuneful pop laced with hip-hop, reggae, and dance elements, all conveyed through an upbeat, counterculture-inflected atmosphere. Their initial long-form release, Love Now, came out in 2013 on Fat Possum Records.
