Biography
From South London, Meat Katie—born Mark Pember—launched his music career in the late 1980s. Early punk-band involvement gave way to international recognition as one of the foremost breakbeat DJs and producers. Breakthrough success arrived in 1998 with the release of his debut album Off the Bone, which earned widespread critical praise. Further attention followed in 2001 through key releases including the Long to Belong album and the Strange Fruit 12".
