Biography
Atomic Hooligan, a breaks-focused DJ and production duo based in the United Kingdom, maintain an association with the Botchit & Scarper label and periodically perform live as a full band. The Watford, England outfit pairs Matt Welch, whose role centers on studio production, with Terry Ryan, the duo’s DJ specialist; the two first joined forces in 1994 and issued their initial recording in 2001 through Botchit & Scarper. Alongside multiple 12" EP releases, they issued mix albums such as 4 Vini in 2002, Botchit Breaks, Vol. 5 in 2002, and Beatz & Bobz, Vol. 5 in 2005, as well as studio albums including You Are Here in 2005 and Sex, Drugs and Blah, Blah, Blah in 2008. When promoting those studio albums, the pair toured internationally in live-band format, augmented onstage by vocalists and musicians.
