Milosh

Mike Milosh records under the alias Milosh as a singer and songwriter working in downtempo electronica, based in Toronto and connected to Plug Research. Engaged with music for most of his life, he took up the cello at age three before studying drums and voice at college and performing with multiple groups that covered jazz through rock. His debut arrived in 2004 with the album You Make Me Feel on the Northridge, CA-based experimental electronica label Plug Research, where tender singer/songwriter bedsit music met intricately produced downtempo electronica and drew considerable commentary, including some expressions of puzzlement. The 2006 follow-up Meme attracted still wider notice, much of it favorable and including prominent notices in Pitchfork and Pop Matters. After spending a year abroad in Thailand, he released III in 2008, which appeared on !K7 in Europe and on Plug Research in North America.
