Biography
Minru serves as the solo outlet for Caroline Blomqvist, the Swedish singer, songwriter, and instrumentalist whose work centers on atmospherically textured folk and pop. After issuing the EP Yearnings in 2019, the project delivered its first full-length album, Liminality, in 2022.
Blomqvist grew up in Gothenburg, where an early fascination with music prompted her to pick up the guitar. During her teenage years she performed with multiple bands, later relocating to Berlin. In that city she joined professional tours with several ensembles while developing the material that ultimately shaped Minru. The EP Yearnings appeared in 2019. Two years later she issued the album Liminality, a release that broadened her sonic palette.
