Emerging as a prominent figure through her fusion of contemporary pop with R&B and dance rhythms, Miriam Bryant has won over audiences in her home country of Sweden and built a worldwide audience thanks to her commanding vocals and emotionally charged style. Born on March 8, 1991, in Gothenburg, Sweden, she grew up with an English father and a Finnish mother. As a child she trained in choral singing and later attended classes in musical theater. Her first steps into pop occurred near the end of 2011 when her friend Victor Rådström invited her to contribute to a school assignment that called for three original songs written for a fresh artist. Together they created and recorded those three pieces, one of which surfaced in 2012 as the single “Finders, Keepers.” The track drew enough notice to secure her a contract with Stereoscope Music in Sweden, and in 2013 she issued her debut album, Raised in Rain. Electronic musician and DJ Zedd first encountered her work on a German radio station and was immediately taken with it; he went on to remix “Push Play,” which marked her initial American release through Interscope Records, and joined her on the track “Find You.” That song achieved broad international success and was featured on the soundtrack for the film Divergent. After stepping away from recording for a time, during which she moved to Los Angeles, she returned with the August 2016 single “Black Car,” followed by “Everything” in January 2017. Both numbers later appeared on her EP Bye Bye Blue, issued by Warner Music Sweden in June 2017. June 2018 brought the duet “O A O A E vi förlorade” with fellow Swede Markus Krunegård, while October saw the arrival of her collaboration with NEIKED, “How Did I Find You.”
