Petra Marklund

Petra Marklund performs under the name September as a dance-pop singer and entertainer from Sweden. She entered the world in 1984, and by age 18 had secured a recording contract supported by a production collective intent on achieving chart success. Her first single, "La La La (Never Give Up)," reached the Top Ten in Sweden, after which September issued her debut album during 2004. The subsequent release, In Orbit, contained multiple hit singles, while the song "Satellites" achieved modest recognition in America. September appeared at the Sopot Festival in 2007 and delivered her following album, Dancing Shoes. Although her singles sold solidly throughout Sweden, the albums performed more modestly there, with Dancing Shoes attaining the strongest position at number 12. Her singles also registered well on charts across additional European nations.
