Oskar Linnros

Oskar Linnros, a Swedish singer, songwriter, and producer recognized for his role in the alternative rap duo Snook as well as his production contributions to various artists, launched his solo career in soul-pop with the chart-topping single "Från och Med Du" and the Top Five album Vilja Bli, both appearing in 2010. Born Hans Oskar Linnros on August 15, 1983, in Sundbyberg, Sweden, he first achieved prominence as part of Snook. Performing under the name Kihlen alongside rapper Daniel Adams-Ray, the duo put out two albums—Vi Vet Inte Vart Vi Ska Men Vi Ska Komma Dit in 2004 and Är in 2006—before disbanding; despite limited commercial results, the projects drew strong critical praise, capped by the Best Swedish Act award at the 2006 MTV Europe Music Awards. Linnros then shifted to production work for rapper Petter, soft rock band Fibes, Oh Fibes!, and soul-pop singer Veronica Maggio, with the Maggio partnership proving especially fruitful. Every song on her 2008 album Och Vinnaren Är... was produced and co-written by Linnros, generating three hit singles and five Swedish Grammy nominations. Capitalizing on that success as a hitmaker, he began a solo recording career in soul-pop through Universal Music. Lead single "Från och Med Du" topped the charts, and debut album Vilja Bli reached number two on the Swedish albums chart.
