Biography
Singer Mirla Castellanos launched her professional path during the early 1960s in Caracas, Venezuela, performing with the group Cuarteto los Naipes before quickly stepping forward as an independent vocalist. She earned top honors at Benidorm's Festival in 1969 via a composition from Manuel Alejandro and afterward completed an extensive European concert run. The following year she placed second at Mexico's Latin American Song Festival and chose to establish a temporary base in that nation. Throughout the 1970s she mounted the production Primerísima, staging it across numerous Latin American cities and selected U.S. theaters. Seeking fresh outlets for her musical drive, the vocalist issued the album Venezuela in collaboration with the Venezuelan Symphonic Orchestra. Her release Como Núnca gathers the most enduring tracks from her catalog.
