Pimpinela

Formed by Argentine siblings Lucía Galán and Joaquín Galán under the name Pimpinela, the pair built an enduring streak of chart success that began with their upbringing in the same household, continued through the release of their debut album in 1981, and accelerated as acclaim spread across every Spanish-speaking territory. Many of their compositions feature the duo trading lead vocals and sharing lyric-writing duties, merging Latin pop textures with the dramatic sweep of musical theater and telenovelas. Having issued more than twelve full-length projects aside from any compilations, the Galáns have maintained an unbroken pace of activity deep into the new millennium.
