Forming an electronic post-industrial pair known as Motor, the artists align seamlessly with the Mute roster. Mr. Nô, hailing from Paris, France, and Bryan Black, originally from Minneapolis, MN, first crossed paths after the latter observed the former performing on drums during a show in London, England. Before issuing their debut Motor full-length Klunk in 2006, the pair put out several singles and handled remixes for T. Raumschmiere, Marilyn Manson, Depeche Mode, and Throbbing Gristle. Early 2007 saw the arrival of their follow-up effort Unhuman. In addition, they have worked on material as Xlover, releasing one album via International Deejay Gigolo, and teamed up with Felix da Housecat along with Princess Superstar.
