Biography
Since its 1999 formation, Austin, Texas experimental rock collective My Education has sustained a veteran role through feedback-saturated post-rock and space rock that sits at an intersection of Sunn 0)))’s shadowy drone textures, Calexico’s arid landscape evocations, and Explosions in the Sky’s turbulent atmospheric layers. Across its timeline the group has incorporated roughly a dozen musicians and issued five studio albums—5 Popes, Italian, Moody Dipper, Bad Vibrations, and Sunrise—plus assorted singles, compilation tracks, and a 12-inch vinyl partnership with left-field hip-hop duo Dalek.
