Nashville Cast

The Nashville Cast comprises an informal assembly of actors, vocalists, and instrumentalists drawn from the ABC drama series Nashville, which premiered on October 10, 2012. The program follows the fortunes of invented industry players enmeshed in the city's music business, with its blend of covers and original material forming a central attraction. Big Machine Records manages the ongoing rollout of these recordings. During spring 2014, it was revealed that select cast participants, excluding the principal performers Connie Britton and Hayden Panettiere, would undertake a compact four-city tour ahead of the second-season finale in the second week of May. The lineup included Charles Esten, Clare Bowen, Jonathan Jackson, Sam Palladio, Chris Carmack, and Will Chase. The ensemble marked the close of its second season by issuing a Christmas album in 2014. Later that year The Music of Nashville: Season 3, Vol. 1 appeared, while both Vol. 2 and The Music of Nashville: Season 4, Vol. 1 followed in 2015. The fourth season's second volume surfaced in 2016 and attained the number-two slot on the U.K. country charts. Although ABC discontinued the series in May 2016, CMT immediately acquired it. The Music of Nashville: Season 5, Vol. 1 arrived in 2017 and reached the Top 15 on both the country and soundtracks charts, with Vols. 2 and 3 released later that summer. February 2018 brought Season 6, Vol. 1, succeeded by its companion volume that July.
