Biography
From a young age, Hayden Panettiere appeared in advertisements, television programs, and films, taking roles in Ally McBeal, Remember the Titans, and Message in a Bottle while voicing Dot in the animated feature A Bug's Life, before landing the part of Claire Bennet on the NBC series Heroes. The resulting visibility allowed her to develop her musical pursuits—she had already placed tracks on assorted teen pop compilations—and a contract with Hollywood Records led to the 2008 single Wake Up Call. Four years afterward she merged her singing with her acting on the ABC-TV drama Nashville, where she portrayed the scheming country pop starlet Juliette Barnes; several numbers she recorded for the series, among them "Telescope" and "Love Like Mine," later appeared as singles.
