Biography
Natasha Kmeto crafts downtempo electronica, dance-pop, and contemporary R&B into seductive, emotionally charged tracks suited equally to intimate home listening and club environments. As a singer of notable range, she moves without strain between leading a jazz ensemble and laying down freestyle material. Her first recordings appeared independently, among them the albums 9 in 2009 and Expressor in 2010. Once aligned with Portland, Oregon’s Dropping Gems imprint—the city she has made her own—she issued The Ache in 2012 and Crisis the following year. Following a tour alongside TV on the Radio, she unveiled Inevitable in 2015, which included a guest turn from the group’s Tunde Adebimpe. Festival stages at Coachella, Bumbershoot, Decibel, and SXSW, along with Low End Theory nights in both Los Angeles and San Francisco, have formed part of her ongoing live schedule.
