Biography
Serving as a quasi-group, New Sector Movements drew numerous participants from West London's broken beat community, among them Kaidi Tatham (Agent K), Julie Dexter, Bembe Segue, Eska World, Eric Appapoulay (Murky Waters), the string duo Chix With Stix (Izzy Dunn and Stella Page), and Frank McComb, formerly of Buckshot LeFonque. Under the leadership of producer, keyboardist, and percussionist I.G. Culture, the project issued several 12" singles on the People label before finishing its first full-length. Download This, which Virgin released in 2001, incorporated a broad range of inspirations such as jazz-funk, '70s soul, drum'n'bass, and contemporary R&B.
