Biography
Nicholas David, a vocalist with a deeply soulful approach, placed third on season three of NBC’s The Voice. Born Nicholas David Mrozinski in St. Paul, Minnesota, he spent his childhood immersed in piano lessons and singing while absorbing classical and jazz, only later turning to pop songwriting as an adult. Under the name Nicholas Mrozinski he issued several independent solo albums, among them Oak Chase Way in 2008, Together We’re Stronger in 2009, and In Formation in 2011. Selected for The Voice in 2012, he joined Cee Lo Green’s team. Viewers quickly embraced him for his emotionally resonant, soul-inflected delivery and his image as a devoted father to his young son. He ultimately finished behind Terry McDermott and winner Cassadee Pope. Following the competition, The Voice: The Complete Season 3 Collection gathered his televised performances. David resurfaced in 2013 with the four-song EP Say Goodbye.
