Biography
Comprising the gospel vocal group Old Friends Quartet are Ernie Haase on tenor, Jake Hess on lead, Wesley Pritchard on baritone, and George Younce on bass. Each member had already put out solo work or contributed to other gospel projects before the quartet came together, as Haase delivered What a Difference a Day Makes in 1999 and Never Alone in 2000, Hess belonged to the Statesmen Quartet, Pritchard sang on multiple releases by Bill and Gloria Gaither, and Younce issued I Believe in 1997 plus Out Front and Day By Day in 2000. The group’s first project for the Spring House label arrived in 2001 under the title Encore.
