Órla Fallon

Born on August 24, 1974, in the village of Knockananna within County Wicklow, Ireland, harpist and vocalist Órla Fallon performs under the shorter moniker Órla. Her first album, The Water Is Wide, appeared in 2000 and was followed by several collaborative recordings involving assorted Clannad affiliates such as the Duggans and Moya Brennan. She became part of the Celtic-new age-adult contemporary pop group Celtic Woman in 2005, contributing to five of their internationally best-selling albums before departing in 2009 in order to focus on family and restart her solo work. Later that same year her second album, Distant Shore, was issued, with Órla Fallon's Celtic Christmas arriving in 2010 and My Land following in 2011.
