Otile Brown

Otile Brown, a singer and songwriter whose smooth and rhythmic approach blends elements of contemporary R&B, Bongo, reggae, and Afropop, issued his initial compilation Best of Otile Brown during 2017. The official debut album Just in Love came out two years afterward in 2020.

Jacob Otieno Obunga, who came into the world in Kisumu, Kenya, spent the majority of his upbringing in Mikindani. During his early teenage years, Brown began composing songs. His debut radio success arrived via the 2016 track "Imaginary Love" that included rapper Khaligraph Jones under the Otile Brown moniker. Dreamland Music put out Best of Otile Brown, which contained this song, in April 2017.

After leaving Dreamland, Brown achieved notable results through independent singles such as "Baby Love" along with "Chaguo la Moyo" that featured Sanaipei Tande during 2018. This path led to the mid-2020 release of Just in Love, an album that included work with East African hitmakers including Mejja and Juma Jux.
