Biography
Hailing from Baltimore, the indie rock quartet Page France comprises Michael Nau on vocals, guitar, and keyboards, Whitney McGraw on glockenspiel, keyboards, and vocals, Clinton Jones on drums, and Jasen Reeder on bass. The group came together in 2004 and put out its first album, Come, I'm a Lion, the next year. Nau's earnest delivery drew strong admiration from indie rock listeners, while critics likened him to Jeff Tweedy and Bright Eyes' Conor Oberst. The band's second album, Hello, Dear Wind, appeared in fall 2005 and was reissued by Suicide Squeeze in fall 2006. Its next full-length, Page France and the Family Telephone, followed the year after.
