Listen on Coda
San Francisco dream pop quartet Pllush weave hazy, driving melodies and taut, guitar-heavy textures around candid, unguarded lyrics. The four musicians—Karli Helm and Eva Treadway on vocals and guitar, Dylan Lockey on drums, and Sinclair Riley on bass—first crossed paths while growing up in the Bay Area, then assembled as Plush in 2014. Local ties soon opened the doors of Big Range studio, where they tracked their debut EP, Pale, which surfaced within a year of the band’s formation. Pine, a mini-album, followed in 2015. Buoyed by mounting local support, the group moved to Father/Daughter Records for the 2016 EP Please and a 2017 split with West Coast band Remember Sports. While finishing their first full-length, Stranger to the Pain, they adopted the Pllush spelling in 2018.
