Pony Pony Run Run

Pony Pony Run Run formed as a French electro-rock trio in Nantes during 2003, specializing in dance-punk grooves. The lineup consists of Gaëtan Réchin Lê Ky-Huong (aka G) handling guitar and vocals, Amaël Réchin Lê Ky-Huong (aka A) on bass, and Antonin Pierre (aka T) at the keyboards. Earlier lineups featured Frédéric Rivière on drums and Samuel Cortes on guitar. Their broad influences span Devo and Kraftwerk through Pavement and Weezer to Daft Punk and Autechre. The group issued their debut full-length, You Need Pony Pony Run Run, in 2009 via the 3ème Bureau imprint. The lead track “Hey You” climbed to the Top 20 in France and the Top Ten in Belgium, prompting a nine-track Hey You Remixes EP later that year. “Walking on a Line” followed as the next single. In 2010 the band received a nomination for Revelation of the Year at the Les Victoires de la Musique ceremony.
