Rascalton, a Glasgow-based four-piece blending indie and punk, connect the energetic spirit of 2000s indie acts like The Libertines with the raw intensity of post-punk groups that rose in the 2010s, such as Idles.
Vocalist Jack Wyles’s arrival in the city set the band’s formation in motion when he struck up a friendship with drummer Greig Taylor; Taylor then brought Wyles together with bassist Mark Buchanan and guitarist Steve Long for garage rehearsals in 2015. Two years on, the quartet entered the local scene by issuing their first single, “This Is It,” in 2017. That release opened the door to their debut EP, Control Social Club, which arrived in 2018 and secured festival slots throughout the U.K.
