Biography
Rayito, recognized as a guitarist, vocalist, and songwriter, entered the world of music under the guidance of his guitarist father. His debut public performance occurred when he was only four. During the subsequent seven-year period, this emerging talent claimed victory in the international Bravo Bravissimo competition, issued his inaugural solo flamenco album, and earned distinction as the youngest composer admitted to the Sociedad General de Autores y Editores (SGAE). At fourteen, he and his family moved from Madrid to Miami, Florida. There he attended the New World School of the Arts, a specialized magnet program in the performing arts that supported refinement of his instrumental abilities while introducing him to diverse musical influences. Those surroundings expanded his circle of collaborators to include Luciano Pavarotti, Ricky Martin, David Bisbal, and Julio Iglesias, with whom he has shared stages or songwriting credits. His original works have received three Latin Grammy nominations thus far. On September 26, 2006, SouthBeat Records issued his debut Latin pop album. The lead single, “Me Falta,” reached the Top 50 on U.S., Latin, and tropical charts. Since then he has delivered numerous prominent live and televised performances while his audience continues to expand.
