Biography
Rico Love, a songwriter and producer, first saw the light of day in New Orleans, Louisiana, although his early years were divided between Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and Harlem in New York City. He enrolled at Florida A&M, and a visit to Atlanta, Georgia, opened doors in the music business via his links to Jagged Edge and Usher, the latter of whom featured his contributions on "Throwback," an excellent deep cut off Confessions. Rico supplied the creative force behind seven tracks that landed inside the Top Ten of Billboard's Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart from 2005 through 2012, among them Usher's "There Goes My Baby," Mary J. Blige's "Mr. Wrong," Trey Songz' "Heart Attack," Kelly Rowland's "Motivation," and Melanie Fiona's "4AM." His debut solo EP, Discrete Luxury, surfaced on Interscope in February 2014, and the single "They Don't Know" advanced to the Top 15 of Billboard's R&B chart. The album Turn the Lights On appeared in May 2015.
