Rolandz

Known for their comedic take on Swedish dansband music, Rolandz entered the album charts at a high level in 2009 when they issued their first long-player, Efter Regn Kommer Solsken, and saw it climb into the Top Five. The group, which calls Värmland, Sweden home, features Roland Järverup handling vocals—he was born Robert Gustafsson—alongside Peter Tiverman on guitar, Niclas Arn playing bass, Ludvig Olin on keyboards, Anders Niska with the saxophone, and Robert Olsson behind the drums. Ahead of that 2009 album launch, the band had already put out several singles from 2008 onward, including "När Veckan Är Slut," "Upp Till Dans," "Blue Blue Moon," and "Eda-Lee." Issued through Mariann Grammofon, the blockbuster Efter Regn Kommer Solsken enjoyed an eight-week stay among the Top Ten albums and attained a peak position of number three.
