Titanix, a dansband from Sweden, first attracted widespread attention after appearing on the 2009 season of Dansbandskampen, an exposure that preceded the release of their Top Five album Drömmar Får Liv the following year. Established in Valdemarsvik, Sweden, back in 1979, the group includes Maria Rolf on vocals, Stefan Rolf on guitar, Henry Kieksi on bass, Jerry Rolf on keyboards, and Magnus Löfving on drums. Their earliest recordings appeared on the 1988 cassette Titanix, Vol. 1, followed by additional tapes issued in the early 1990s. Several singles and the band’s initial full-length album, Livs Levande, arrived between the mid- and late 1990s. A consistent output of singles continued into the new millennium, accompanied by the 2006 album Hela Världen. Their decisive opportunity arrived during the second season of Dansbandskampen, where they placed second to the Playtones yet secured considerable public recognition. Sony Music subsequently offered them a contract, resulting in the 2010 major-label release Drömmar Får Liv, fronted by the single “Allt Jag Vill Ha,” which reached the Top Five of the Swedish albums chart.
