Unleash The Archers

Unleash the Archers, a heavy metal ensemble from Vancouver, British Columbia, merge death, thrash, and power metal into a melodically charged attack. Powerhouse vocalist Brittney Hayes fronts the group, which issued two independent albums before signing with Napalm Records in 2015. Commercial breakthrough arrived in 2017 with the fourth album Apex, the opening half of a narrative saga completed by Abyss in 2020. The band sustained dystopian motifs on the apocalyptic 2024 release Phantoma.

Formed in 2007 by Brittney Hayes, Scott Buchanan, Grant Truesdell, Andrew Kingsley, and Nikko Whitworth, the outfit evokes the Agonist, Blind Guardian, and Kobra & the Lotus. Their independently released debut Behold the Devastation surfaced in 2009. The 2011 science fiction concept album Demons of the Astrowaste drew notice and led directly to the three-song EP Defy the Skies the next year. After joining Napalm Records in 2015, the band delivered the studio album Time Stands Still. Apex followed on the same label in 2017 and revived the storytelling approach of Demons of the Astrowaste. The saga concluded with the fifth album Abyss in 2020. Phantoma, issued in 2024, expanded the dystopian focus as a concept record about a sentient AI grappling with the fallout from a world-ending event.
