Biography
Rumah Sakit formed in 1998 when John Baez, Jeff Shannon, Mitch Cheney, and Kenseth Thibideau began performing guitar-based post-punk in their native San Francisco. The instrumental quartet tracked a self-titled full-length that Temporary Residence Limited released in 2000. Their next release, an EP included in the limited-edition Travels in Constants series, appeared the following year. Obscured by Clowns, the group’s sophomore album, arrived in 2002. A live recording of their December 2000 concert alongside Sweep the Leg Johnny came out in 2003.
