Biography
Sam Champion, a New York City indie rock quartet, draws its name from a well-known local weatherman. The group focuses on mid-tempo guitar rock that echoes the styles of Pavement, Paul Westerberg, and Lou Reed. Its members are guitarist/vocalist Noah Chernin, drummer/vocalist Ryan Thornton, bassist/vocalist Jack Dolgen, and guitarist/vocalist Sean Sullivan. The band issued its debut album, Slow Rewind, via Razor & Tie in September of 2005.
