Sebalter

Swiss singer Sebastiano Paù-Lessi gained prominence under the stage name Sebalter after the multi-talented musician represented his nation at the 2014 Eurovision Song Contest. Born in the picturesque town of Giubiasco, Paù-Lessi served as fiddler for the local outfit the Vad Vuc and remained with the group through extensive tours until his departure in 2012, at which point he launched a solo career alongside his work as a business lawyer. In the lead-up to Eurovision he suspended his legal practice to focus fully on music, allowing his track “Hunter of Stars” to advance from the Expert Check Stage into the national final. His live appearance on Die Große Entscheidungsshow secured Switzerland’s representation at the contest, where the performance of “Hunger of Stars” earned 64 points and a thirteenth-place finish overall.
