Swedish singer and songwriter Benjamin Ingrosso weaves elements of dance and soul into his richly melodic pop compositions. Having stepped onto the stage almost from the start, he issued his debut single at nine years old, later representing Sweden at the Eurovision Song Contest 2018 as a teenager and securing a national number-two placement with his entry, "Dance You Off."

Born Benjamin Daniele Wahlgren Ingrosso in Danderyd just north of Stockholm, he grew up as the son of singer and actress Pernilla Wahlgren and former dancer and songwriter Emilio Ingrosso. Family ties connect him to actress Christina Schollin, his grandmother, and to Swedish House Mafia member Sébastian Ingrosso, his cousin. Landing parts in theatrical productions early on, he toured Sweden throughout childhood and claimed victory in a nationwide junior songwriting contest at nine. That same year he put out the single "Jag Är en Astronaut" under the name Benjamin Wahlgren. During his mid-teens he briefly leaned toward a behind-the-scenes songwriting path, yet a win on the television series Let's Dance 2014 prompted a return to performing; after self-directed studio work he joined TEN Music Group. The label launched "Fall in Love" in 2015, which spent one week at number 58 on the Swedish singles chart, and followed it in 2017 with "Good Lovin'," a Top Ten entry.

At nineteen, in May 2018, Ingrosso took the Eurovision stage for Sweden, finishing seventh overall with "Dance You Off." The track climbed to number two at home and registered on French charts. That month he also reached the Top Ten alongside Felix Sandman on their duet "Tror Du Att Han Bryr Sig." Several months later he delivered the solo Top 40 single "I Wouldn't Know." In September his first album, Identification, arrived, swiftly hitting number one on the Swedish album chart and achieving gold status before year’s end. During 2019 he released "Costa Rica," a version of Lionel Richie’s “All Night Long (All Night),” and the further Sandman collaboration “Happy Thoughts.”
