Biography
Emerging from Eeklo, Belgian singer-songwriter Tom Eeckhout launched his path at age fifteen inside the Dice and later took second place behind Dirk De Smet on the 2008 Flemish edition of The X Factor. He took his former band’s name as his surname, landed a hit via an acoustic version of Leona Lewis’s “Bleeding Love,” and reached sixth position at the 2010 Eurovision Song Contest with the jointly written “Me & My Guitar.” His debut album Teardrops entered at number one, leading to a chart-topping duet with French chanteuse Elisa Tovati on “Il Nous Faut” and the 2012 release of his next record, Heart for Sale.
