Biography
Edinburgh's folk outfit Seelyhoo draws fresh energy into Scotland's traditional repertoire under the guidance of fiddler Jennifer Wrigley, once a member of the Wrigley Sisters, together with accordionist Sandy Brechin and vocalist Fiona MacKenzie. The band's name stems from an archaic Scots term for the membrane occasionally found covering a newborn's head, and their sets deliver a lively combination of strathspeys, jigs, slow airs, and Gaelic-language songs.
