Biography
Hailing from Frankfurt, Germany, Deutschrock band Serum 114 derived its name from the behavior-suppressing chemical agent depicted in Stanley Kubrick's film A Clockwork Orange. The Social Distortion-influenced punk rock quartet, featuring singer/guitarist Esche, guitarist Thorsten Glatte, bassist Markus Stein, and drummer Nils Lang, formed in 2006 and issued its debut EP, Seid Ihr Bereit?, on Bodog Music in 2008, issuing a self-titled album later that same year. After Bodog's bankruptcy forced the group to cover production costs for its follow-up album Antiheld, which was finished in 2010, the record appeared only once the band secured a contract with Rookies & Kings in 2011. Their third studio album, Deine Stimme/Dein Gesicht, arrived in January 2012.
